It was definitely fun catching up with them, and seeing them from another characters point of view.The follow-up to the runaway best sellers On Dublin Street and Down London Road Despite her outgoing demeanor, Olivia is painfully insecure around the opposite sex – usually, she can’t get up the nerve to approach guys she’s interested in. What I also loved was reading about a view of the characters of the previous book. You can easily imagine these characters being real. So much romance, but always ‘real’ romance. This is definitely one of my favorite things about a Samantha Young book. I felt like I was a part of their world and I loved it. I just wanted to know what was going to happen next. Just as with the first book, I devoured this one in less than 24 hours. And although I wished she didn’t feel so low about herself at times, I got it.

She had these insecurities I could easily relate to. Their was just so much chemistry between them. The romance between Jo and Cam was really fun to read about and it definitely gave me all the feels.

It took me longer to really connect with them, but in the end I loved these characters just as much as the characters in the previous book. Yes, it took me a little longer to really connect with the characters, especially with Jo, since she was such a different person than you’d expect at first. But fortunately this was definitely not the case with ‘Down London Road’. The thing with a series, that exists of books you can read as a standalone, is that the first book can be great, and the second book not so much. Soon everything Jo always kept a secret about her family Cam witnesses in person, and everything changes. But he is gorgeous, doesn’t care what people think of him and he makes her want so much more. But the moment Jo sees Cameron MacCabe, she knows he isn’t what she is supposed to want. This means she wants a steady financially secure man who treats her right, and who wants to look out for her brother too. Johanna’s only mission is life is taking care of her little brother no matter what.

In ‘Down London Road’ we meet Johanna Walker. Is Cam prepared to accept Jo for who she really is? And is Jo willing to let someone into her life for keeps? And as their intense connection grows, Jo has to stop hiding the truth about herself and her family. Cam doesn't fit into her strict specifications of her perfect partner at all - but for once she is tempted to let her heart rule her head.
